Pandit Abhijit Banerjee is considered among the front ranking Tabla players from India. He is one of the most sought after creative artists in the realm of Indian classical music. With more than two decades of professional experience, Abhijit has crafted a unique personal style and an innovative approach which has brought him accolades and awards from all over the world for his sensitivity, skill and deep musical understanding. Apart from his contribution to Indian Music, he has explored and experimented with a wide variety of global crossover music as well, both as a performer and a composer.

Vidwan Somanth Roy

A highly acclaimed name in South Indian Percussion, Somnath Roy has made his mark for his in-depth knowledge and mastery of both South and North Indian style of percussion. He is undoubtedly a name to reckon with, when it comes to playing the Ghatam, an earthen clay-pot which is an exclusive percussion instrument of South Indian classical music. With his widened knowledge in multi-percussion and rich orchestrating experience, Somnath is giving the art of percussion a new aesthetic touch. Debashish Singha Roy

Debashish started playing tabla under the guidance of late Sukumar Maitra. Later he was trained by Pandit Abhijit Banerjee. He participated in many concerts throughout India, accompanying prominent & established artistes. He has the privilege of playing with Artistes like Pt. Kushal Das, Pt. Ronu Majumdar. He has been associated with Dhwani Academy for more than eight years as an instructor and member.
Arun Kayal
Instructor
Arun started learning tabla from Late Pandit Shyamal Bose. Later he came under the tutelage of Pt. Abhijit Banerjee and has been learning under his guidance for more than thirteen years. He has been associated with Dhwani Academy for more than nine years as an instructor and member.
Subrota Mondal
Instructor
Subrota is a senior disciple of Pt. Abhijit Banerjee. He started his tabla training under Pt. Sajal Karmakar. He has been associated with Dhwani Academy for the last eleven years as an instructor and a member.
Arup Rout
Instructor
Arup's keen interest towards the instrument Tabla engaged him in training of Tabla from the age of five years under the guidance of Sri Sajal Karmakar. Later he was trained by Pandit Abhijit Banerjee. From then on, he started to prove himself as an upcoming Tabla Player. He has completed his Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad). Some of the major festivals, he has performed are Ramakrishna Mission (Deoghar), Kolkata Doordarshan, Eastern Cultural Society, Calcutta Blind School etc. Besides he is attached to Dhwani Academy of Percussion Music as in charge of a special project – Upliftment of Visually Challenged Students.
Subham Das

Subham started his Tabla-lesson at an early age under the guidance of Shri Dulal Bhattacharya for twelve years, later he came under the tutelage of Pt. Abhijit Banerjee and has been learning for more than eight years. He completed his Sangeet Prabhakar from Allahabad University and Sangeet Visharad from Chandigarh University. He has been associated with Dhwani Academy for more than six years as an instructor and member.
Debjit Pahari

Debjit started playing tabla under the guidance of his father, late Sri Indu Bhushan Pahari, and later came under the training and guidance of Pt. Abhijit Banerjee, since then he has been associated with Dhwani Academy as an instructor and member. He completed his Sangeet Prabhakar from Allahabad University.
