Other Instructions

  • Parents may attend the classes to follow their child’s progress but are requested not to interfere with the teaching methods during the class. Nudging your ward to follow the teacher’s instructions during classes should be avoided, as it can be a distraction and undermine the child’s confidence.
  • Some classes are held in private residences to create a close and convenient learning environment; privacy of the host should be respected.
  • Workshops and concerts are held throughout the year. Students and parents are encouraged to attend to observe the level of playing and support the students in their efforts.
  • Regular attendance in classes and consistent practice at home are mandatory.
  • If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact any of the teachers.

Note:

  • Tabla students may opt for a free South Indian Rhythm Class on any Saturday with prior appointment with the Ghatam Guru once a month.
  • The same applies to Ghatam students, who can have a free Tabla class once a month.
